Tired of dating zeros? Date a Hero!

On Saturday, July 25th at the newly renovated Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport Crystal Ballroom, DATEAHERO.com Presents The First Annual Bachelor Charity Auction. The auction will be hosted by Rossi Morreale (www.rossimorreale.com), the host of ABC’s new show “Dating In The Dark” that premiere’s on July 20th, 2009. Morreale was named by People Magazine as one of the “Sexiest Men Alive” in 2003.

Attendees of the auction will have the opportunity to bid on a date with real-life heroes comprised of bachelor Firefighters, Police, and Military personnel. Firehouse dinners, Police ride-a-longs, and helicopter patrols will also be on the auction block.

A portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org). The Wounded Warrior Project is a non-profit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors. WWP serves to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.

After a suggestion from his wife, DATEAHERO.com founder and auction producer Bryan Russell began the online community after years of being repeatedly asked by friends and family members if there were any “single” Firefighters at the Southern California fire station where he has worked at for 16 years. On July 4th, 2005, DATEAHERO.com went online.
