We provide neutral, third party educational and organizational resource tools in the form of "What You Need to Know Kits" that help the sophisticated lay professional "get their act together with various life planning affairs: Our first "Do You Have Your Act Together Kit" is to help educate and organize people with their Wealth Management affairs: estate planning, budgeting, life and disability insurance, investments, taxes, long term care planning, educational savings plans, etc. Providing definitions and guidelines of what to as the professional advisors. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

The "What You Need to Know Kit" grew out of our facilitation consulting service. We found clients needed much more education and preparation before going in to talk to estate planning attorneys, advisors, brokers, CPAs. Our Kit Resource Binder provides concise definitions, guidelines, key take aways questions. People also needed a much better/easier filing/organizational system (our Kit Box). And the CD provides spreadsheets and letter templates to make it easy to get their personal data in shape that will help them and their advisors to get the best results.

How long have you been in business?

Since 2001.

What's been your greatest moment so far? (i.e. Signing your first client, getting the big order, some great PR?)

Being on the cover of OC Metro Business magazine - followed closely by getting the OCBJ Woman of the Year Award for what we do, followed by having the OCBJ feature Matters at Hand in our own glossy, pull out supplement!

What was your biggest mistake?

Not doing this sooner!

What was your smartest move?

Designing a systematic approach to building relationships that resulted in getting business. Getting great experts on my team: HKA, Inc for PR; SMS, for direct marketing and fulfillment; Wundermarx for internet marketing.

What are your business plans? (i.e. Expansion, franchising, selling for a gazillion dollars?)

We plan to come out with many flavors of "Kits" based on point in time life events.

The Kit is starting to sell nationally, so getting in retail outlets will be key. As well as co-branding efforts.

Are you a member of any OC-based associations, networking groups, etc?

Yes - many. And on 6 boards (3 non profit). Former president of NAWBO-OC.
