What is the name of your business?
iCanvas Prints
What is your website URL?
http://www.iCanvasPrints.com
Where is your business based?
Rancho Santa Margarita
What is your name? (We prefer your full first and last name but you can use either, or even a nick-name.)
Toni Aninag
Describe your business (product, service, quirky things you want to include, etc.)
We turn your everyday photos into Canvas Wall Art! Our Sales Consultants are stay-at-home moms who understand how important it is to preserve memories and tell your story. Your Consultant will help you tell your story as Canvas Wall Art, on photographic paper, as greeting cards/announcements.
Who is your customer?
Anyone who wants to tell their STORY on CANVAS to preserve their special memories!
How did you come up with the idea for your business?
After 20 years of scrapbooking and always trying to find a unique way to preserve my own family's memories, I thought, "there had to be a better way". I wanted those photos in my scrapbooks and on the shelves to be up on the wall for all to see! That's how the Canvas Wall Art was born!
How long have you been in business?
We have been in the business of preserving memories for 2 years, but we've been creating Canvas Wall Art for 1 year.
What's been your greatest moment so far? (i.e. Signing your first client, getting the big order, some great PR?)
My greatest moment was being a guest via satellite on CNBC's "The Big Idea" with Donny Deutsch (as seen on my website under the "media" tab. It was so much fun and just a beginning of many media appearances hopefully!
What was your biggest mistake?
Our biggest mistake was underestimating our customers reaction to their final product. There's always tears, great thanks and big hugs! I knew we had a great product but never realized how deep it touched people.
What was your smartest move?
My smartest move was reaching asking for help from others and from mentors different from myself. Many of us tend to bring in others like us, when we really need to bring in the opposite (E-myth).
What are your business plans? (i.e. Expansion, franchising, selling for a gazillion dollars?)
We would like to build a strong National Sales Team, be the household name for Canvas Wall Art, and eventually have online template ordering.
Are you a member of any OC-based associations, networking groups, etc?
I love SCORE, Ladies Who Launch and several online blogging arenas.
Are you willing to answer questions about your business from other small business owners?
Yes
